Alana Sample, 66, of Green Bay, passed away August 18, 2016. Born on August 24, 1949, she is the daughter of the late Frederick “Pug” and Dolores Gould. After living in Paris at the age of 10 she gained a passion and love of Paris, all things French, and traveling around the United States and the World. She loved Las Vegas, the casino, and the beach. She married her high school sweetheart, soul mate and travel partner Wayne Sample who she recently celebrated her 50th anniversary with. Alana loved her family, grandchildren, and especially her great granddaughters. She had many special friends. Alana enjoyed reading, crocheting, knitting, and her music, especially the Beatles, Van Morrison, and Andrea Bocelli.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne Sample; two children, Dana (Chris) Andrakowicz, of Manistique, MI, and Jeremy (Mike Ratachic) Sample of Green Bay; three grandchildren, Gabrielle (Steve) Tietz, Tanner Danz, and Logan Danz; two great grandchildren, Ava Tietz and Everly Tietz.
Alana was preceded in death by her parents; mother and father-in-law, Elton and Maryann Sample and one grandson Tyler Danz.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Bellin Hospital, especially Alex from Margaritaville, Hugh Grant, Kevin Bacon, Nicki the Joker, Amanda the bathing girl and sweet Blair. Also, special thanks to all the Physicians, Hospice, and the Chaplain.
