Arthur W. Lahey, 74, Green Bay, passed away in his sleep at home Tuesday morning, September 10, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born April 6, 1950, in Two Rivers, WI, he is the son of the late Roy and Hazel (Wasco) Lahey. Art married the former Sandra Rowe and together they started a family. She preceded him in death on March 23, 1994. He later married Mary Braam and they later divorced but maintained a friendship after the divorce. Art began his career as a metal fabricator at Formrite in Two Rivers, before taking a position with Mechanical Industries in Milwaukee and eventually retiring from Ru-Mar Manufacturing in Mayville. Art was a voracious reader, writer and correspondent of letters and post cards. In his youth he had a love of photography. Art will be remembered for enjoying a good IPA, smoking pipes and cigars, and being a caring, generous family man.
Art is survived by his two sons, Christopher Matthew and Benjamin Case Lahey; former wife and friend, Mary Lahey; one sister, Pat (Dean) Mahlum; brothers-law, David "Michael" (the late Denise) Rowe and, Jon (Karen) Rowe; the wife of his late best friend, Mary Penglase; further survived by nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by one sister, Susan "Susie" (Bob) Kitto; and his best friend, John Penglase.
Celebration of life to be held at the Depot, Green Bay, Saturday, September 21 beginning at 12 PM noon.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy or flowers, memorials may be directed to a food pantry of your choice in honor of Arthur.
