Barbara F. Baker, 91, Two Rivers, passed away peacefully on Monday, Jan. 8, 2024. She was born November 1, 1932, daughter to the late George and Julia (Schneider) Berger. Barbara graduated from Two Rivers Washington High School in 1950, then furthered her education attending the School of Cosmetology in Milwaukee, WI, while working part-time for the Bell Telephone Company. Following completion of school returned to Two Rivers where she worked for the Little Paris Beauty Salon. She then met and married William Baker.
Barbara's artistic talents were apparent early on where she was a gifted oil and water color artist. Her love for animals was overwhelming, especially cats who needed homes. Her home was always a welcoming shelter with tons of affection. She had a special love for her dog, Mikey. Barbara enjoyed her many travels around the country with her family throughout her life. Her special enjoyment by far was a stay at home mother.
Survivors include her husband, Bill; son, Brad; daughter, Deb; sister, Jeannine; a special niece, Laura; as well as other nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by a brother, Tom; and a sister, Marlynne.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
The family would like to extend a special thank you the hospice staff, especially Kayla.
