Beatrice “Betty” Thomas, 91, Green Bay, passed away, Sunday afternoon, Feb. 12, 2017 at a local nursing home. Born Dec. 16, 1925, in Green Bay, she is the daughter of the late Lawrence and Viola (Fleury) Solper. Betty married Floyd Thomas on June 6, 1946, at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral and he preceded her in death on March 15, 2003. She will be remembered for her enjoyment of raising canaries and parakeets. Betty was a dedicated and loving wife, mom and grandmother.
Betty is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Rick Johanski; grandchildren, Eric (Sarah) Johanski, Becky Johanski, John Seibert; 10 great-granchildren; one brother, Kenneth Solper; one sister, Donna Solper; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Tom Seibert; and grandson, Andrew Seibert.
Visitation at St. John the Evangelist, 413 Saint John St., Tues. Feb. 21, from 2pm until the memorial service at 3pm with Deacon Conrad J.Kieltyka officiating. Entombment in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. Simply Cremation is serving the family.
