Bernard “Pedo” Lessor, 72, Freedom, passed away Thursday morning, Feb. 9, 2017, at home with his family at his side. Born Sept. 18, 1944, in Kingsford, MI, he is the son of the late Bernard and Elaine Lessor. Pedo married Claire Heegeman on Feb. 16, 1963. He owned and operated his own trucking company, Hill Valley Farms. Pedo was a long time member of Alleluia Lutheran Church, Greenleaf. He will be remembered as an outdoorsman, especially fishing and hunting at the family cabin in Dunbar. Pedo loved and adored spending time with his family.
Pedo is survived by his loving wife, Claire; six children, Bernie, Jr. (Karen), De Pere; Dale, Green Bay, Curtis (Renee), Ashwaubenon, Deana (Wesley) Rickey, Black Creek, Shawn, Freedom, and Jason, Fort Atkinson; grandchildren, Bradley (Jessica) and Robert, Brandon, Amber, Clarissa, Kaylee, Alan, Andrew, and Trey, and Shyanne; great-grandchildren, Wesley, Cloey, Brodey, and Hunter; brothers and sisters, Jerry McCabe, Green Bay; Glenda (Carl) Thomas, Howard, Janet Bazinowa, Wrightstown, Janice (Rollie) Fengler, Sturgeon Bay; several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Reggie, Gary “Blackie”, and Jerome “Denie”; father and mother-in-law, Urban and Eva Heegeman.
Visitation at Alleluia Lutheran Church, 6725 Elmro Rd. Greenleaf, Sunday, Feb. 19, form 1pm until the time of the service. Memorial service 3pm at the church with Pastor Aaron Hutton officiating. Simply Cremation, Green Bay, is serving the family.
