Betsy A. Nelson

Betsy A. Nelson, 48, Howard, passed away at home, March 1, 2016. She was born on Dec. 28, 1967. Betsy grew up in Atlanta, GA and attended the US Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. She was very active in the Green Bay Area Recovery Community, volunteering and sponsoring many. She had a special way of helping others. As Betsy told everyone, her greatest achievement in life was her son, Robert. The “mother-son” bond was evident when they spoke of each other. Betsy lead a very beautiful and memorable life! Betsy is survived by many who will sadly miss her, including her son, Robert; mother and step-father, Karen and Bill Harmon, NC; father and step-mother, Tom and Paula Hawkins, TX; her brother and his family, Tom (Mickey) and Grant and Maddie; special friend, Bruce Walburn, Green Bay; and the entire Nelson Family.
