Byron J. Rousseau Jr. passed away unexpectedly on September 29, 2022. He was born in Green Bay, WI to Dorothy and Byron Rousseau Sr. on May 2, 1947.
In 1968 Byron married the love of his life Sue (Slimmer) and completed their family with the birth of
their precious daughter Terri Rousseau.
Byron graduated from West Green Bay High School, NWTC and FVTC with degrees in auto mechanics and auto body work. This led to a lifetime career in the automotive industry. His passion for cars was highlighted by restoring corvettes, belonging to the Corvettes of the Bay Club, and proudly owning 44 corvettes during his life. He achieved his last bucket list item in September of 2020 by purchasing the newly designed mid-engine corvette (C8).
Byron also enthusiastically enjoyed golf and travel. Driving across the US and warm weather vacations to golf during the winter months rated high on his things to do.
Byron is survived by his wife Sue, daughter Terri, brother Charles (Judy), brothers-in-law George (Sandy) Slimmer, Wayne (Terry) Slimmer, and David Slimmer, nieces and nephews.
At Byron’s request, there will be no service.
A special thank you to Byron’s family and friends for the frequent phone calls, lunches, corvette rides, and car shows as this meant so much to him. His family is deeply grateful for these connections and hope you will look to the sky, smile, and wave hello when you think of him.
