On Wednesday, December 16, 2020, Carl Vernon Nelson, age 59, from White Lake, WI, passed away unexpectedly. He was born August 9, 1961 in Green Bay, WI to Julian and Patricia Nelson. He graduated from Pulaski High School, Class of 1980. He worked as a mechanic at Powers Service Center LLC for 17 years.
Carl was a quiet, kind man who always went above and beyond for those he cared about. His passion in life was building engines and fixing things. He enjoyed going to stock car races, truck pulls and spending time with a good friend of many years, Krissy Wynkoop-Withrow, her daughter, Cherish Moss, and her children, Grayson, McKinley, and Arianna who knew and loved him as “Grampa Carl”. He especially loved taking Grayson everywhere he went.
Carl was taken from us too soon, he will be greatly missed and forever loved.
He is survived by his mother, Patricia Schultz, brothers, Leroy (Teresa) Nelson and Paul Nelson, sister, Connie (Bryan) Nelson, nieces, Jessica Nelson and Mindy (Cory) Bougie, great nephew, Jadyn, great nieces, Paige, Aubrie, Shayna, Raelynn, and Ellie, special friend, Krissy Wynkoop-Withrow and Cherish Moss, grandchildren, Grayson, McKinley, and Arianna plus many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Julian Nelson, grandparents, Vernon and Lorraine Nelson.
Family and friends may visit Malcore (West) Funeral Home, 1530 W. Mason St., Green Bay, on Monday, December 21, 2020, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Masks are required for all in attendance as well as social distancing.
