Carol Allen

December 1, 1944 — November 24, 2015

Carol Allen, 70, Green Bay, died peacefully, Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at a local nursing home. Born December 1, 1944, in Green Bay, she is the daughter of the late Joseph and Shirley (Zeise) Allen. Carol worked at Mrs. Karl’s Bakery and Georgia Pacific until her retirement. She was an avid baker of cookies and candy and an amazing cook; especially during the holidays when she sold 100s of her homemade candy. She was also the queen of the rummage sales and always found a deal!

Carol is survived by her two sons, Jeff and Steve Chervenka; daughter, Lori (Russ) Joachim; 3 grandchildren, Brock and Logan Joachim, and Alonna Funmaker Chervenka; siblings, Sue (Robert) Vandenbusch, Diane (Dennis) Gaetsel, Jean (Gerald) Rasmussen, Joan Wertel, and James (Wendy) Allen; many nieces and nephews and other relatives as well as her two best friends Mary Grignon and Joan Boettcher.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, Ray Wertel; 2 nieces, Julia Christensen and Myah VandenBush.

Visitation at Prince of Peace Church, 3425 Willow Road, Green Bay, Monday from 3:00 PM until the time of the Memorial Mass at 5:00 PM. Simply Cremation is caring for the family. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Woodside Lutheran Home, Unity Hospice, and Ashley from Optum for all of the special care provided to Carol during this time. A very special thank you to her best friends Mary and Joan for always being by her side!
