Carrie Baeten

August 15, 1964 — March 10, 2016

Carrie (Ridgley) Baeten, 52, of De Pere passed away on March 10, 2016. Carrie was born to Judy and the late Ronn Ridgley January 13, 1964. She married Pete Baeten on August 15, 1987. Carrie started her career at Tufco Industries, this is where she met her terrific husband. Carrie was also long time employee of Georgia Pacific’s Day St. Mill. She enjoyed working in the paper mill, she became a top papermaker and was proud of her achievements, but it was the people that made the job. She really cared about the people she worked with. Carrie also enjoyed watching Packers, cooking, gardening, crafts, decorating and didn’t shy away from a game of chance. Playing poker with her family was an interesting adventure. Carrie was a bargain hunter, loved to shop, find the unique item, “Look what I found ”, was not an unusual phrase, she had vision.

Carrie is survived by her husband, Pete; mother, Judy; mother-in-law, Betty Baeten; brothers, Rob Ridgley (girlfriend Joy), and Ronn Ridgley (girlfriend Dee Dee); sister in laws, Mary Baeten, Susan Bushover, and Barb (Jim) Hoida; brother in laws, Jeff (Patti) Baeten, and Greg Baeten; nieces and nephews, Catrina Pearce, Rachael Ridgley, Amanda Ridgley, Denise Bushover, Dawn (John) Ruzich, Nick Hoida, Josh Hoida, Annie Baeten, KC Baeten, Paul Baeten, and Jordan Lacrosse.

She will live on in the hearts and thoughts of her family and friends

She is preceded in death by her father Ronn Ridgley, father in law Cy Baeten and her grandparents.

A celebration of Carrie’s life will be at the Rite Place, Monday 3/14 from 3 pm-7 pm, a memorial will start at 5:30 pm.

Come and share a story, come and share a hug, come and celebrate her life.

The family would like to thank the Bellin Cancer Center and Unity Hospice for their support through this difficult time. The services that all of you provided were compassionate and caring beyond any words.
