Charles "Chuck" Krueger

December 27, 1940 — February 19, 2024

Suamico

Charles “Chuck” Krueger, Suamico, passed away peacefully after a thirteen month battle with lung cancer on Monday, February 19, 2024 at a local hospital. Chuck was born December 27, 1940 in Milwaukee, WI to the late Charles and Audrey (Hess) Krueger. On June 20, 1964 he married the love of his life, Helen (Pearson), in Wausau, WI.

Chuck enjoyed life to the fullest. He graduated from UW-Stout with a B.S. and then a M.S.. He chose teaching after a brief time at Fort Howard Paper Company.  He started his teaching career at Brillion High School and retired from the Green Bay Schools after more than 30 years teaching. He often used his skills to design and build house additions, decks, furniture, woodworking pieces as a hobby. Chuck enjoyed sharing his time and talents where needed. He was on the Building and Grounds Committee for Union Congregational UCC Church and Moon Beach Camp for many years. He helped design and build one of the first houses for Habitat for Humanity in Green Bay along with being primary consultant for the first Women Build in Green Bay. Chuck was an avid outdoorsman finding time for fishing, hunting deer, birds, turkeys and passing this passion on to his son and grandson. His happiest times were spending time with Helen, his children and grandchildren especially at their lake home in Three Lakes.    One of his greatest passions later in life was supporting his grandchildren from the bleachers at their sporting events. Chuck and Helen traveled extensively with family and many of their good friends.  They loved those trips and often reminisced about their times spent together with loved ones.

In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his half-brother Danny Chromy, his in-laws, Bill and Marie Pearson, his brother-in-law, Dick Tepp and niece, Jody, Tepp-McKinnon.

Chuck will be missed by his wife Helen, his children Chris (Anne) Krueger, Carolyn (Michael) O’Brien, grandchildren Zak (JoHanna) Krueger, Caitlin (Collin Travis) Krueger and Emma Krueger, step-grandchildren: Jerad (Shannon) and Maverick Clifford, Eric (Kelsey) and Charles and Winston Clifford and Carissa Clifford, his sister Geri Tepp, his brother Jim (Judy) Krueger, his sister-in-law Marcy Chromy and many nieces and nephews.
