Cherri Ann Barton, 54, of Green Bay, passed away on Thursday, August 17, at home surrounded by her loving family and friends. Cherri was born on October 5th, 1962 in St. James, Missouri, the daughter of Marian and Fredrick Peerenboom. Cherri was united in marriage to Rick Barton on December 10th, 1994. They shared their home in Green Bay, later moving to River Falls Wisc., and recently moving back to Green Bay.
Cherri enjoyed spending time with family and found special joy in her grandchildren. She was also an avid Green Bay Packer fan. You could find her on the couch on Sundays with her family or at Lambeau Field taking in a game. She also enjoyed her social media outlets, often sharing family photos and spreading positive messages. She has inspired many with her positive attitude and will certainly be missed by those that had the opportunity to know her.
Cherri is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Rick Barton. She is also survived by her children, Deanna (Kevin) Street of League City, Texas, Wesley (Brenda) Peerenboom of Marinette Wisc., Joni Rose of Arroyo Grande, Calif., Nick Barton of River Falls, Wisc. and Kharmilla Barton of Green Bay. Siblings, Robin Peerenboom of Escanaba, Mich., Fred Peerenboom of Wrightstown, Wisc., Marcialee (Rodney) Maynard of Gladstone Mich., Mathew (Lynn) Peerenboom of Green Bay, Jeanine (Christian) Imes of Candler, N.C., and Corey Peerenboom of Beecher, Wisc. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother Marian Cook on April 14th, 2014.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday August 23rd from 10 AM until the time of the service.
Services will be held at Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 2270 South Oneida Street, Green Bay, WI, at 11 AM.
