Christel Olson

Christel Elfrida Olson, 78, passed away January 18, 2018. She was born July 23, 1939, in Bochum, Germany. At 19 she moved to England where she trained as a chef and worked at a hospital where she met her first husband, Brian Jones. They moved to Canada in 1970. In 1984 she meet her beloved husband, Stephen Olson, then moved to Green Bay. She loved being in Door County, boating, camping, and swimming. She was an excellent cook.

Christel is survived by her husband Stephen; her sister Doris Speer, brother Gunter and Inga Skuginna, 2 sons, Byron (Stacy) Jones and David (Lisa) Jones; daughter Rebecca Jones; 6 grandchildren Mathew, Pearce, Tyler, Layken, Erica, and Katie, 2 brothers-in-law Dan Olson (Laurie Toonen) Brian and Jan Olson, and sister-in-law Barb Hilgenberg (Daryl Capelle).

She was preceded in death by her parents Fritz and Elfrida Skuginna and daughter Yvonne Jones.

Visitation will be held January 27th at Saint Matthews Catholic Church from 9-10am. Memorial will be held at 10 am.
