Craig Douglas Jones died in the early hours of February 12th, 2015, at home in the loving arms of his family. Survived by his best friend and wife, Peggy Barta Jones, sons Clayton, Zachary, and Jesse, sister Marcy and mother Marcia, and many many other family and friends who loved him dearly.
Craig was a true Renaissance man, with myriad passions and talents to match. He was a skilled cook, mentor, and renovator of old homes. He was well known as an expert and purveyor of books; he has been the heart and the face of The Reader's Loft bookstore in De Pere for two decades. A soulful musician his whole life; among other musical endeavors he was the bass player of the Spark Plugz blues band for a quarter century. He was a proud, nurturing father who raised three men of strong character.
Craig will be missed tremendously, but his absence will be filled with the lessons, laughter, and fond memories that are his legacy. To know Craig was to be better off, and in the ways he enriched the lives of so many, he lives on.
