Curt Herbst

Curt E. Herbst, 88, Green Bay, passed away peacefully Tuesday afternoon Jan. 19th with his loving wife Kitty and youngest son Michael by his side. Curt was the son of Eric and Ida Herbst, born April 26th, 1927 in Milwaukee, WI. He graduated from Riverside High School and The Milwaukee School of Engineering. He joined the Merchant Marines and then the US Navy, where he served on the USS Randolph CV 15 during WWII in the South Pacific and was honorably discharged in 1946. A member of the Greatest Generation. He married Kitty (Bathke) from Algoma on June 7th, 1947. Curt was employed by Wisconsin Telephone Co. in Milwaukee, then transferred to Appleton, then to Green Bay where he retired as District Sales Manager in 1982 after 32 years. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Kitty, son; Dr. David L.
