Cynthia Jenn ( Bunker ) Wray
Cynthia Wray, 69, of Oshkosh, Wisconsin joined the love of her life on March 9th surrounded by great music and the people she loved . If you knew Cindy, you would know how she was a very caring and kind person and always had a lot of love to give. She loved children very much, but unfortunately she was unable to have children of her own. But that didn't stop her from helping kids as much as she could as a teachers aid for many of years and always taking young ones under her wings in their time of need. She loved cooking and to cook meals for people, especially those less fortunate. She also loved Angels, crocheting and crafting and being outside (camping) or with the wind in her hair ;-) sometimes even on a beautiful bike on the highway with some amazing friends and family. Also she was a strong woman that was not afraid to tell it how it was or how she felt.
Cindy was born in Green Bay , WI on September 3rd 1954 to parents Ray and Constance (Hemken) Bunker . After graduating from Preble High School she work at a local nursing home helping the elderly and playing BINGO with them. After several years of working there she made the choice to leave and get married . At this time her and her husband had a small farm. After several years she divorced and moved to Colorado for a bit before coming back to Green Bay to be with family. At this time she got a job working with children as a teachers aid and worked there until retirement at which time she also met the love of her life Dave. Unfortunately her and Dave only had a few years together before he passed away from cancer. Later she moved in with her close friend Mary ( a.k.a. Grandma) and they lived together until Mary's death a few years later. Several more years went by with many more memories made with friends and family until she started to become more unwell and her body finally had enough of the fight.
Cindy is survived by her brother Daniel (Tammie) and sister Connie (Daniel), and her nieces and nephews Alicia, Angela, Arica, Dustin, Heather, Jason, Keeley, Zach, and their families; and Curtis, her dearest friend whom she loved like a son. She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband Dave; her brothers Jim, Joe, and Chuck.
The family would like to thank the staff of the intensive care unit at Aurora Medical Center Oshkosh for their dedication and hard work taking care of their loved one. Cindy was a warm, caring, and loving person who will be dearly missed.
We all love you very much, our beloved sister and Auntie.
