Dallas Eugene Choat
March 25, 1948 - July 17, 2021

Dallas passed away peacefully in his home in Green Bay on Saturday July 17, 2021. At the time of his passing he was with his beloved caregiver and friend, Jennifer. During his stay, he brought light and laughter to those who needed it the most. Dallas grew up in an old mining town in Michigan's Upper Peninsula called Michigamme. He grew up on a hill in a very tiny mining house with many siblings. As a young adult Dallas moved to Green Bay Wisconsin to work for the Chizek Transportation Company as a bookkeeper. During that time he moved in next door to Dick and Marryanne who would become his lifelong friends. Dallas grew to love the Green Bay area and made it his permanent home. Eventually he became a truck driver for the Chizek Transportation Company until he retired. After Dallas retired, he moved to the Port Plaza Towers and eventually to Trail Creek. Dallas loved to socialize. He could often be found at Diamond Dave's, the Blackstone, or Al's Hamburger Shop surrounded by a cast of characters who found his profound and unusual sense of humor uplifting. He told his jokes and pulled his pranks with a twinkle in his eye that brought happiness to all he met. Dallas also helped many people suffering from addiction through his work with Alcoholics Anonymous. He exemplified the fact that you do not have to drink alcohol to have a good time. Dallas loved drinking black coffee, playing practical jokes, and eating Cornish pasties. There will never be another like him.

Dallas was preceded in death by his mother Bonnie, and several of his siblings. He will be greatly missed by his sweetheart Terry and his surviving friends; Maryann, Jennifer, Debbie, Laura, Keith, Brian, Kellie, Carol, and many, many others.
