Daniel R. Barnard, 70, passed away June 23, 2022, at St. Vincent’s Hospital. He was born July 26, 1951, in Green Bay, the son of Michael J. and Carolyn (Gibson) Barnard.
Dan graduated from Notre Dame Academy. Dan spent his years living in Wisconsin during the summer and spent the winters skiing in the Reno/Lake Tahoe area of Nevada. He married Deborah (Socha) Barnard and was married for 38 years this July. Making 45 plus years living a life with his favorite person. Dan was a brilliant man. As 3rd generation in real estate, he was a builder, a developer/investor, and an entrepreneur with ambition that advanced the Barnard legacy.
Almost as much as his family, Dan loved the adventure lifestyle. He was an expert skier, spending months of every year doing so for the last 60 years, with countless broken skiis left in his black diamond wake. He rode his many motorcycles as much as possible, with his favorite being the Kawasaki ZX-14. He shared his passions with his family and passed that adrenaline junkie gene on to his girls. A dedicated Packer fan, stockholder and season ticket holder, he rarely missed a game. His humor and creativity was always layered with his intellect, making him truly one of a kind.
Predeceased by his parents Mike and Carolyn, and his brother Tom. Dan is survived by his wife, Debbie Barnard, his 2 daughters Emily and Dorothy Barnard, his sisters Jane Barnard, Mary Barnard-Feit, Anne Bologna and Betsey Barnard. Also, his brothers Jim Barnard and Bill Barnard, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
