Daniel S. Hessler, 57, Green Bay, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home, Saturday, July 7, 2018. He was born June 28, 1961 to the late Richard and Patricia (Salmon) Hessler. Daniel graduated from Green Bay East High School, June 4, 1980. Shortly after graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army proudly serving his country from 1981, being Honorably Discharged in 1986. Daniel received many medals and certificates for his outstanding service during his Army career.
Daniel was previously employed as a lift truck repair mechanic with Wisconsin Life Truck. He enjoyed keeping himself busy building and rebuilding small and large engines for his cars. He would paint his vehicles and take pride of the finished product every time. During his younger years he purchased a Dragster (Rail) and raced it fulfilling one of his dreams. Dan strived for the best putting 100% of himself in every project he did. He enjoyed helping family and friends whenever possible. Dan also enjoyed watching TV with his two rescue (kids) 4-legged, Oscar and Chewy Shih Tzu dogs which meant the world to him.
Daniel was a loving father, brother, uncle and friend to many. Daniel also is Godfather to James A. Galbraith.
Survivors include his two children, Richard K. Hessler and Nicole (Derek) Rohde; Grandson, William J. Hessler; Granddaughter, Severin V. Rohde.

Dan loved his 4-legged friends and had many throughout his life, some were rescue that preceded him in death. Jasper, Tiffany, Sammy and Dash.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 14, at 1:45 pm with St. Helen Keyzer leading in prayer with full Military Honors at Allouez Catholic Cemetery. Simply Cremation is assisting the family. Visit
