David J. Clark

David J. Clark, 87, of Jacksonport, WI, and Sarasota, FL, passed peacefully on August 9th, 2024. He was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, where he was raised and educated, completing his medical degree at the University of Edinburgh College of Medicine. In 1963, David came to Oak Park, IL, and soon met Elizabeth Clark, of Chicago, IL, and they were married in 1965. David practiced family medicine from 1963-1965 until he began his Orthopedic surgery residency at Loyola University Medical Center/Hines VA. David practiced Orthopedics in Aurora, IL at Dryer Medical Clinic from 1970-2003. When not helping his patients, David was a huge fan of soccer, with Celtic FC of Glasgow as his favorite team. In retirement, David spent countless hours with his family including 10 grandchildren.

David is survived by his loving wife, Beth; daughter, Julia Rose of Bozeman, MT, her husband, Dr. Brian Rose, and their children, Kate and Lucas; son, Dr. David Clark of Racine, WI, his wife Shawn, and their children, David and Lily; Dr. Andrew Clark of Glen Ellyn, IL, his wife, Marcie and their children, Andrew, Ryan and Abigail; Benjamin Clark, Esq, of Lemont, IL, his wife Jacquie Clark, Esq. and their children, Ava, Camille, and Simone.

The family wishes to thank the numerous loved ones who reached out to share in the love of our dear David.
