Dean Douglas Kuehl age 55 of Waupaca, Wisconsin, passed away on July 12th, 2024 at Theda Clark Regional Hospital from a traumatic brain injury. He was surrounded by his loving family, partner, and friends.
Dean was born April 15th, 1969 in Wauwatosa, WI. The Son of late David and Susan (Smith) Kuehl and later Theresa (Green-Meyer) Kuehl.
Raised in the quiet country-side of Northeast Wisconsin on a small farmette, he learned to love the great outdoors from an early age. The students at Little Wolf High School in Manawa voted him best-dressed his senior year, class of 1987. He attended MSOE for a couple of years, taking advanced math classes so he could engage in conversations about differential equations with his friends. He desire to work hard and his love of the outdoors led him to the construction field, repairing roofs and doing masonry work. Most recently his passion for cooking led him to Waupaca Elder Care where he was adored by the staff and residents for his easy going personality and caring, helpful heart.
Dean was spirited, goofy, smart, stubborn, caring, he listened, laughed, and climbed anything. Dean made a lasting impact on everyone he met and was full of love and laughter. His last act of kindness was the gift to others of a better life through organ and tissue donation. Dean's heart, both lungs, liver and both kidneys were scheduled to be transplanted into 5 total people. Restoring life's promise for many families.
Dean is survived by his sisters Victoria (Price) Kuehl-Shepard-Moore, Sheboygan; Valerie (Jeremy) Meyer-Smith, Waupaca; Ashley (Ross) Kuehl-Mischler, Appleton; Bonus Mom Theresa (Green-Meyer) Kuehl, Bear Creek; Loving Partner Nilda Merones, Waupaca. Many Aunts and Uncles, Cousins, and Nieces and Nephews. We can't forget Dean's loving cat Wednesday Adams.

This was one of Dean's favorite places to be. If there is inclement weather the celebration will be held at Radiant fellowship, 420 N. Harrison St, Waupaca WI.
(Due to the unexpected nature of his passing, the situation this has presented for our family, and the location of the Celebration, there will be a link with Dean's obituary where funds can be sent in lieu of flowers to help cover costs. Any help is greatly appreciated)
