Dennis N. Rasmussen, age 79, of De Pere, passed away at Aurora Hospital due to complications from Covid, pneumonia.
Dennis was born in Milwaukee, WI, Oct 10, 1943 to Ray (Neils) and Ann Rasmussen he was a graduate of Oconto High School. In 1997 he went on to earn an Associate Degree in Quality Assurance from NWTC.
While working at Allen Bradley he met his first wife Marilynn (Tack) they married in 1963 and moved from Milwaukee to Brookside to farm and raise a family.
Dennis loved to spend time on the farm with family creating many cherished memories. He was active with the Masons and Shriners in both Wisconsin and Arizona. He spent many years as a machinist and enjoyed working on cars. Retiring in Arizona with his second wife, Betty (Johnson) whom he married in 1997. He enjoyed RVing, Dune bugging, and gold mining. He was an avid parade participant, riding various vehicles for Shriner parades. Electronics, Ham Radio, Bingo and cards were favorite pastimes.
Dennis is predeceased by his parents, Ray Rasmussen and Ann (Spende) and his first wife, Marilynn (Tack). He is survived by his Second wife, Betty (Johnson), his siblings, Sandy (Jim) Morgan, Ranny Rasmussen, and Judy Behling, his children, Denise (Brian) Schultz, Lisa (Larry) Boldt, Erik (Paula) Rasmussen, and Lori Rasmussen, step-sons Gene (Tammy) Johnson, Howard (Tammy) Johnson and grandchildren, Nathan, Cassie, Ian, Kali, Grant, Brooklyn, step grandchildren Jessica, Marley, Garett, Torianne, Jasmine, Halen as well as many friends and family.
Friends are welcome to gather with Dennis’ family for a graveside memorial at Brookside Cemetery (4684 Brookside Rd. Abrams, WI 54101) on Sat. Apr. 8 at 10:30 AM. Celebration of Life and luncheon to follow at Brookside Community Center 11:15a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Please bring a favorite Memory to share.
