Dhea passed away on Sunday, April 21, following a brief illness. She was born February 28, 1947 in Richland Center, WI to her parents, Milford & Jean Everson.
Dhea attended Seymour Public Schools, graduating from Seymour High School in 1965. With the distinction of being named 1961 Badger Spelling Bee Champion of Isaar; she was our resident spell-checker. A lifelong horse lover, she participated in 4-H, WI High School Rodeo, NEWPHA and AQHA competitions. Serving on the Manawa Rodeo Queen court as 1st Runner-Up. Later she enjoyed coaching her daughters at horse shows. She saw much potential in one special horse, Tomboy Red, who became her lifetime equine partner, and eventual babysitter for Andi & Dayna. During her life she worked as a Dental Assistant, in Telecommunications, and eventually retiring from her most recent position as a Property/Casualty Underwriter. She enjoyed knitting, as her sweaters and baby blankets became prized possessions. Dhea's proudest accomplishments were her daughters Andrea LeMieux Lutgen and Dayna LeMieux Mastalir. Her granddaughters Alexandra, Veronica and Peyton brought her great joy, and then came along another blessing, great-granddaughter Eila; whom she got to meet in February.
Dhea is survived by her loving daughter Dayna LeMieux Mastalir, sister Ellen (John) Sommers, granddaughters Alexandra (Neal) Bertels, Veronica (Josh) Parks, Peyton LeMieux Koltz, great-granddaughter Eila Bertels. She is further survived by Andi & Dayna's father, David LeMieux.
