Don (Donald) McPherson

Don (Donald) Curtis McPherson 76 yrs old Neenah, WI died suddenly August 25th, 2023 with his family by his side.

Born April 18th 1947 in China Lake, CA to Harry and Ada Ruth (Griffin) McPherson.

Don had a contagious smile and gave great hugs. With his unique sense of humor his first thought of fixing things was "Let me get the hammer!"

Don met his loving wife Carolyn (Stroud) in high school whom he married in November 5th 1971 in Arlington, TX. Went to UWO got a B.S.  and M.S.E. Served in the Marine Corps 1967-1970. Received multiple service medal. Worked with Life Connections, was a Counselor/ Therapist and Psychotherapy and  worked Christian Ann Domestic Abuse Service. His interests included support groups and Veterans Support Groups,  Member of the DAV, He was a Shepherd at Oakhaven Church in Oshkosh, loved being part of the Searchers Bible Study in Neenah. His other love was working with the WCYC camp.

Survived  by his wife of 51 1/2 yr Carolyn, Favorite Son Dale (Tammy),  Favorite Daughter Sara (Scott), Sisters Betty Kelsey and Debi Wiseman, Brother Bill (Becky) McPherson, 3 grandsons, 2 great-grandsons, many niece and nephews (great).

Preceded in death by his parents Harry and Ruth.

Memorial Service will be held September 5th at Oakhaven Church 2175 Witzel Ave, Oshkosh WI, visitation at 10am and the service to follow at 11am. Luncheon after service.
