Donald "Don" Rice

Don Rice, 78, of Green Bay, Wisconsin (formerly of Colorado Springs) passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 12, 2025.

Don was born in Carlisle, Kentucky on November 27, 1946 to parents Howard and Anna (Ralph) Rice. Don married the love of his life, Linda (Colby) on December 20, 1967.

Don was drafted into the US Army in 1967. He served two years before changing forces to the US Navy. After his honorable discharge he worked for the city of Colorado Springs until his retirement. Don and Linda raised two daughters, Michelle and Cyndi. Throughout Don and Linda’s marriage of 57 years they enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, gambling and spending time with their friends, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Don is survived by his loving wife, Linda; his daughter, Michelle (Thomas) Keel; and his daughter, Cyndi (Joel) Pratsch. Also left to honor his memory are his six wonderful grandchildren, Brittany, Kaylee (Tyler), Dylan (Bec), Myranda (Ryan), Trey and Jacob (Brianna) plus four great-grandchildren; Adalynn, Lukas, Audrey and Beau. He is also survived by his brother, Steven Rice; and his sister, Kathy (Larry) Wade. 

He is proceeded in death by his parents and brothers; Jim, Bill and Harold.

A private memorial will be scheduled at a later date.
