Don passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on July 14, 2024, after a long illness. Don was born in Shreveport, LA to his parents Euel and Patricia (Shadle) Hobbs. He spent his early years living in West Monroe, LA. Don found his way to his favorite state, Wisconsin, around 1976. He was an extremely talented welder/fabricator prior to retiring in 2014. Don enjoyed time with family, friends, reading, collecting glass, fishing and having a sharp wit and sense of humor. There are so many fond memories of fishing with Don. He was never without his hankies and chocolate. Unfortunately, Don didn’t achieve his lifelong dream of winning the lottery and sharing it with everyone he cared about. We’ll keep buying tickets, in his honor, and hope he sends us luck from above.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, beloved pets and many close friends. He is missed and survived by his daughters Jodie, Nikki and Jessica, wife of 34 years and best friend Becky, his faithful and loyal friend Marvin, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grand children, and his siblings Nancy, Jim and Chuck.
The family would like to thank his amazing care team at St. Clare Hospital in Oconto Falls; especially Patti, Tarra, Mason and Jessy. Your kindness and compassion made the hard days a little easier.
Per Don’s request, no service will be held.
