Douglas L. Sievert, 64, Green Bay, died Monday, August 1, 2016, at a local hospital. Born February 11, 1952, in Geneva, NE to Gerald and Loretta (Gillham) Sievert. He graduated from Fairmont High School in 1971. Doug moved to Green Bay in 1987. He met Paula Wickman in 1993 and the couple was married on June 1, 1996. Doug was a very family oriented man: He enjoyed fishing, playing cribbage with his father-in-law, and spending time with his three children and ten grandchildren. Doug had a great sense of humor and left a lasting impression.
Doug is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Paula Sievert; son, Robert (Amy) Doubeck; daughters, Alyssa Doubeck and Sarah Doubeck; grandchildren, Caleb (friend Amanda), Keegan, Cali, Hayden, Ashton, Chase, Jackson, Sophia, Logan, and Brock; his mother, Loretta Sievert; sisters, Deb (Dick) Christensen and Sharon Buck: mother-in-law, Gail (Jim) LaPlant; father-in-law, Roy Wickman; brother-in-law, Darren Wickman; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Mike and Barb Bomber, Jack and Dan Softley, Derrie Nelson, and Mark Schepers.
Doug was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Sievert; sister, Karla Sievert; brother, Charles Sievert; and his grandparents.
Visitation at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 120 S. Henry St., Green Bay, Sat. Aug. 6th, from 9am until the time of the service. Memorial service 11am Saturday at the church.
