Elaine Elliott

May 20, 1921 — August 31, 2018

Elaine Elliott awoke to new life in the risen Lord on August 31, 2018, after 97 years of loving and living generously. Elaine Ann (Karner) Elliott was born May 20, 1921 to Martha (Petta) and Anthony Karner in Stevens Point, where she was raised, graduated from PJ Jacobs High School and attended UWSP.

Elaine married Patrick Elliott on May 5, 1941. After raising nine children in Stevens Point, Elaine and Pat moved to Long Beach, CA in 1985. Elaine continued to live there after Pat passed away in 1989. In September of 2016 she moved to Green Bay, WI to be closer to family and resided at Woodside Manor Assisted Living. Family was most important to Elaine and she always enjoyed family gatherings and visits. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Brewers, Packers and Bucks.

Elaine is survived by her children: Pat (John) Vanden Boogaard. De Pere; Mike (Peg) Elliott, Rome, GA; Tom (Ethel) Elliott, Cleveland, TN; Sally (Jim) Reese, Amherst Junction; Kathy (Red) Paynter, Oxford; Ray Elliott, Cottonwood, AZ; Mark (Mary) Elliott, Stevens Point; John Elliott, Alameda, CA and 19 grandchildren: JP, Amy, Ryan, Joe, Sam, Jonah, Elizabeth, Kimberly, John, Mike, Lucas, Isaac, Jennifer, Jessica, Nicholas, Laura, Matthew, Taylor, Kacey. She is also survived by 19 great grandchildren and a sister, Doris Davis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her sisters: Karol and Margaret: her daughter, Mary Chris, and son-in-law, Mike Gutsch and daughter-in-law, Debbie Elliott.

Special thanks to the residents and staff at Woodside for their compassion, support and care.

A celebration of her life will take place on Saturday, September 8, at Holy Spirit Parish in Stevens Point. Visitation in the church begins at 9:30 followed by a memorial mass at 11:00.
