Ellen Mae Smith, 83, Green Bay, formerly of Newberry, MI, died peacefully on March 12, 2017, at a Green Bay hospital. Born on October 31, 1933, in Newberry, MI, she is the daughter of the late Lauri and Lily (Ring) Haapalainen.
Ellen is survived by her loving daughter, Judy (Ed) Williams, Howard; three grandchildren, Erik (Kris) Nelson, and Angela (Travis) Jellum, and Stephanie (Mike) Ferrera; two great grandson, Jonathan and Max Jellum.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ken; parents; one son, Dr. James Beaudin.
Private services were held in accordance to her wishes. Simply Cremation in Green Bay assisted the family with services, (920) 431-0100.
