Frank J. Oblak Jr, 79, of Green Bay, Wisconsin passed on April 19, 2025. Frank was battling many health issues including cancer. If you knew Frank Oblak, chances are he offended you in some way. Frank was a straight-shooter and a "know it all" even in his final days he was the one calling the shots in the nursing home. He was surrounded by love from his wife Jane, son Frank, daughter Jane, and son in law Benjamin.
Frank was born in Cleveland, Ohio on September 22, 1945 to parents Frank J. Oblak and Shirley (nee Warner) Oblak-Traxler. He graduated High School in Brunswick, Ohio. Frank married his high school sweetheart, Jane (nee Komons) in 1966, but it took a lot of convincing to even get Jane to date him. Obviously he didn't give up because she finally said yes and they celebrated 59 years together.
Frank was VP of Sales for Allied Signal for most of his career, he retired at the age of 50 to spend time enjoying his motorcycles, RV, cars and his many poodles. Frank enjoyed working around the yard with his wife Jane, being the perfectionist he was, their yard was always the nicest on the street. He really enjoyed to talk shop with his coworkers (and anyone who would listen!) when given the opportunity. TV became his passion as he got older and boy did he like talking politics!
Frank is survived by his loving wife, Jane; his poodle Barney; his son Frank W. Oblak, his daughter Jane M. Stephen; his favorite son-in-law Benjamin G Stephen; his grand dog Sawyer pants; his grandsons Frank J.P Oblak (chicken dance expert) and Preston Oblak (the bass master); and his nephew Christopher Traxler.
He is preceded in death by his parents; younger sister Debra J. Traxler, his many aunts, uncles, cousins and his many adored poodles: Jacques, Baron, Bear, Bart, Bruno, Bentley and Black Jack.
The family would like to thank Moments Hospice for caring for Frank in his final days.
Frank requested no service or viewing, the family will have a small private celebration at a later date. Frank asked Jane to share one of his final wishes...hug your loved ones!
