Gary Mitchell

Gary Lee Mitchell, 64, Suamico WI, passed away December 1st, 2023, with his family by his side after a life long battle with diabetes. He was born October 17th, 1959, Shawano WI, the first of four sons to Roger and Camille Mitchell (Kay Brzezinski ).

He graduated from Bay Port High School in the class of 1977.  Gary had a passion for baseball as a pitcher, and struck out many of his opponents for his team.  He played for the South Port Legion and the Pulaski Reds, but his illness kept him from doing the things he cherished; hunting, fishing, spending time with family and friends, and family functions.

Over the years Gary was employed by Carver Boat and worked with his father on the Green Bay and Western Railroad. Gary didn't have a lot, but enjoyed music in his vehicle.

Gary is survived by his mother, Camille; brothers and sisters-in-law, Todd (Doreen) Mitchell, Scott (Tracey) Mitchell and Dean Mitchell; godson and nephew, Matthew Mitchell; and close family friend, Tim Borowitz.  

He is preceded in death by his father, Roger; grandparents, Leo A. and Francis Brzezinski and Ray and Florene Mitchell; many aunts, uncles, and cousins, all who are truly missed.
