Gary Petasek

Gary Petasek, 67, Green Bay, passed away February 13, 2016, at home. Born on January 8, 1949, in Green Bay, he is the son of the late Alvin and Patricia Petasek. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1966 to 1973 during the Vietnam War. One of his proudest moments was the birth of his son, Alvin. Gary was a sports fanatic loving the Packers, and Brewers most of all. He was known for riding his scooter around the neighborhood getting to know the neighbors.

Gary is survived by his son, Alvin (Mikayla) Petasek of Green Bay; one daughter, Lisa; one sister, Donna (Jerry) Jonet and ex-wife, Carol Petasek.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Linda.

Visitation at St. Josephs 936 9th St, Saturday February 20, from 10 AM until the time of the memorial service at 12 PM (NOON). Full Military Honors to follow.

Special thanks to Tom Waarala who was such a true friend to Gary. Philly his dear nephew who was there for Gary and helped with the snow and other things whenever he could. Thank you to my wonderful neighbors on 13th Ave. We want to thank the hospice nurse who was so kind and was so helpful. Lastly, to Simply Cremation for the care they took when taking Gary home.
