Gerald W. Bero, 88, Green Bay, passed away April 30, 2024, at his home. He was born September 16, 1935, in Green Bay, son of the late Charles and Florence (Martell) Bero. Gerald graduated from Green Bay West High School, and proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He married Janice Vandenack September 27, 1958. He retired from Maintenance with the Ashwaubenon School District at Valley View Elementary.

Gerald enjoyed woodworking, drawing, and early in his life liked playing guitar. He was also a square dance caller.

Survivors include his wife, Janice; 3 children: Jodi (special friend-Mike) Schnell, Idaho; Jeff (Kandice) Bero, Oconto Falls; and Jay (Steven Thomson) Bero, Green Bay; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Butch (Sue) Bero, and Jim Bero; sister, Shirley; sister-in-law, Marge; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by his siblings and spouses: Anita (John), Kenneth (Doris), Wayne (Jackie), Vernon (Betty), Cletus (Pat), Donna (Don), William, Chuck (Carol); and sister-in-law, Mitzi Bero.
