Gerald DeGrand

Gerald (Jerry) F. DeGrand, (64), son of the late Norman A. and Marcella M. (Ducat, DeGrand) VanLanen passed away on August 14, 2023.  He was born in Green Bay, WI on February 6, 1959.

Jerry is survived by his children, Kelly Augustus and Michael DeGrand, step-children, Randall Mead and Aaron Mead and their Mother Linaya Cokonougher. Grandchildren, Natalie, Nathan, Miles, Ashland and Thea.  Step-grandchildren, Kristy, Kohl, Mikalah, Christian, Samantha, Arianna and Anthony.  Great-grandchild Zayden.

He is further survived by siblings, Helen VanPay, Linda DeGrand, Glen DeGrand, DeeDee Letourneau, Cindy Metzler, Bill DeGrand, Barb Angstadt, Karen VanLanen and Michelle Harry.  Step-siblings, Ken VanLanen and Terry Rennells. 

Daughters-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Maxine DeGrand and step-daughter Rachel Mead, step-grandson Gabriel Vanderheiden, brother Jim DeGrand, step-father Wilbert VanLanen, step-sisters Shirley Clark and Judi Krawczyk.

A private graveside service will be held at Allouez Catholic Cemetery where Jerry will be laid to rest beside his parents and brother Jim. 

The family expresses their sincere appreciation to the staff at the Unity Hospice Meng Residence for their compassionate care.
