Gerald "Jerry" Des Jardin
October 5, 1955 — January 18, 2018
Gerald (Jerry) John Des Jardin, 62, passed away on January 18, 2018, after a courageous 6-month battle with cancer, with his family by his side.
Jerry was born on October 5, 1955, in Escanaba, Michigan to the late Stafford & the late Betty (Anderson) Des Jardin. Jerry attended Ashwaubenon High School.
Jerry worked for many years at Tillmann Landscape Nursery and later at Lee's Painting & Decorating in Sturgeon Bay before his retirement. Jerry kept his great sense of humor until the very end and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Jerry is survived by three children, Matt, Jesse and Sara; five grandchildren, Kolton, Jackson, Drake, Serenity and Hali; three brothers, Richard (Nancy), Joseph (Nancy), Mark (Lynn); five sisters, Carol Deiter, Mary (Emery) Viau, Jeanne Sjogren, Stefanie (Bob) Neville, Delores (Tom) Manders; many nieces and nephews.
Jerry is further survived by special friend, Melissa Selwyn, Stephani and his dog, Maggie.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law Mike Sjogren and nephew Mark Viau.
Jerry would like to extend a special thank you to Unity Hospice for their wonderful care during his final days. Per Jerry's request, there will not be a funeral. A private family gathering will take place to celebrate his life.
