Gladys Hatch

Reflections of Life

Ms. Gladys (Warrick) Hatch was born on April 16, 1932, in Coden, Alabama to the late Mr.
Clifton P. Warrick and Mrs. Mahalia (Thompson) Warrick.


Gladys was called to her heavenly home on Tuesday October 17, 2023, in Green Bay, Wisconsin.


She accepted Christ at an early age in life at Sweet Bethel Missionary Baptist church in Coden,
AL. Gladys enjoyed sharing the love of Christ with family and friends.


Gladys joined the United States Air Force on December 01, 1956, where she would supply the
necessary manpower and equipment needed to continue numerous tasks at the Selfridge Air
Force Base in Michigan. 


In 1958, Gladys moved back to Alabama after an Honorable discharge from the air force to help
care for her younger siblings. She became a full-time caregiver for her brother Charles who was
battling cancer. Gladys loved going to the family fish fry’s at the beach She also loved baking
sweet dishes for her family, friends and co-workers.


Gladys was joined in holy matrimony to the late John Hatch on December 18, 1971, in Mobile,
Alabama. Their union didn’t bear children. 


She was the second child of seven children. Five preceded her in death, Milton Warrick, Preston
Warrick, Charles Warrick, Doretha Warrick, and Juanita Warrick. Gladys leaves to cherish her
memory: one sister Corrine Warrick of Mobile, AL, one cousin Phillip Johnson of Moreno Valley,
CA, one special nephew Reginald (Denise) Roberts of Green Bay, WI, two special nieces Clara
Banks of Williamston, NC and Gwendolyn Clark of Corona, CA Warrick, one special great
nephew James Bennett of Milwaukee, WI, one special great niece Regina Roberts of Green Bay,
WI, one special great great niece Sundai Bennett of Milwaukee, WI, one special cousin Lawanda
Banks of Mobile, AL and a host of other nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends.
