Grace L. Ryan, 86, Green Bay, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2024.
Grace was born in Carney, Michigan to Sigfred and Gladys Larson. She was the youngest of six sisters. After graduating high school she moved to Chicago, Illinois. She met her husband Jim while working at Sunbeam. Shortly after starting a family they moved to Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. She enjoyed being a stay at home mom and eventually going back to work. She established a wonderful and lasting friend group in her neighborhood.
Throughout Grace's life she and her husband enjoyed fun times at their cottage up north traveling the USA, and eventually wintering in their home in Florida. Towards the end of Jim's life, Grace's unwavering love and devotion was shown to him every day.
She was crafty all her life and eventually found a love for quilting. Grace found a good balance of marriage, raising two children and sharing her love with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, friends & embracing her faith.
She has survived by her son, Alan (Geri); her daughter, Kelley (Tom); grandchildren: Amara, Jenna, Sara (James); great grandchildren, Ana, Kaylee and James; sisters: Hazel, Marie, and Shirley; and brothers in-law, Robert (Mary), John (Cookie), and Dan (Lola).
In addition to her parents and husband, Grace was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy (Anthony) and Ruth (Bob); as well as her other brothers-in-law, Jim, Joe, and John.
Family and friends may visit Malcore (West) Funeral Home, 1530 W. Mason St., Green Bay, on Saturday, February 8, 2024, from 11 a.m. until the time of memorial service at 1 p.m.
Thank you to the wonderful staff at Emerald Bay retirement community for your love and care for Grace. Thank you to the “Golden Girls” for the friendship you shared together. Thank you to Moments hospice for giving Grace and our family comfort, support & peace these last few months.
