Grant E Wright

Grant Wright, 49, De Pere, passed away January 5, 2017. He was born on October 3, 1967, to the late Patrick and Iris Wright . Grant married the love of his life Cathy Sobiesczyk on October 12, 1996. Grant was a 1985 Abbott Pennings graduate and then went on to attend the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. He spent many years in the car business where he enjoyed working and built memorable friendships.

He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who always cared and strived for his family’s happiness.

Grant will always be remembered for his hilarious sense of humor, his contagious smile, gigantic heart, love of sports, music, and his moves like Mick Jagger.

Grant is survived by his wife Cathy; four children, Chanel, Graham, Zoe, and Jackson; his granddaughter and pride and joy, Lilah; brothers, Marc Van Ells, Eric (Kathy) Wright, and Patrick Wright; sisters, Diane Gupta and Vicki (Chris) Brown; Parent-in-laws, Monnie and Joie Kraay, and Leonard Sobiesczyk; sisters-in-law, Wendy (Kevin Umentum) Sobiesczyk, Lisa (Gary) Pochron, and Cheryl (Patrick) Udell, as well as many loving nieces and nephews and his feline buddy, Cooper.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lisa Wright, sister-in-law, Lana Sobiesczyk, and niece Madison Wright.

Please join us for a memorial celebration on Thursday January 12th, starting at 2 PM. It will be held at River’s Bend, 792 Riverview Dr.,Green Bay. Black attire is discouraged.

A special thank you for the compassionate care by Dr. Melana Dzwonkowski as well as Sarah and Kathy at Unity Hospice.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
