Gregory (Greg) Le Duc

September 15, 1950 — January 26, 2025

Gregory (Greg) Thomas Le Duc, 74, passed away in Henderson, Nevada, from congestive heart failure on January 26, 2025. Greg was born on September 15, 1950, the 5th of 11 children born to Claude Sr and Rose Le Duc. 

Greg attended SS Peter and Paul grade school, Preble and West High school and graduated in 1969. Greg attended the University of Wisconsin/Green Bay and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. Greg completed his degree in 3 years and spent a total of $3000.00 on tuition and books. Greg majored in cinematography and he worked for Wisconsin Public Television as a still photographer and camera operator.

After graduation Greg was active in the Green Bay art scene working with Dale Kuipers at his 2nd floor studio next to the Bay Theatre. Greg would incorporate Dale’s monster creations into Super 8 movies.

Greg’s next adventure was a move to St Petersburg, Florida. Greg was no fan of cold weather. The warm Florida climate was a fit for his vision of his life. Greg worked as an extra on the movie, Jaws 2. Greg established himself, starting a photography business, Le Duc Photography. Greg married Gwen Ihbe on February 26, 1975. 

Greg’s desire to expand his cinematic opportunities led to a move to Los Angeles, California. Greg started Le Duc Productions, a full service video company. Greg was proud to work with Val Kilmer, Farrelly Brothers (Fever Pitch), & Justin Lin (Fast & Furious) among others.

Greg was a writer and took writing courses at UCLA. To hone his skills Greg would write scripts for sit-coms and submit them for consideration. Greg’s first novel was Gold Point a fictional story about smuggling contraband in Florida. Greg decided to focus on Curly Lambeau, the founder of the Green Bay Packers. Greg spent five years researching Curly’s life and made many visits to Green Bay for research and interviews with Curly’s first wife, Marguerite and Gold Girl Mary Jane Van Duyse . 

Greg wrote a Curly Lambeau screen play and decided to create a graphic novel to aid in promoting the screen play. The graphic novel was titled GridIron.

Greg enjoyed sea kayaking, Mustang convertibles, bicycling, motorcycling, and living in Santa Monica, “3 blocks from the beach”

Greg is survived by his siblings Claude Jr, Jack, Steve(Sue), Nancy, Jean(Terry Hunt), Jeff and Doug(Ellen.) In addition, Greg is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Greg was preceded in death by his wife Gwen, bothers Tom, Jim and Brad.

 A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, May 10th, 2025 at The Village Grill Events, 1390 Bellevue Street, Green Bay, WI 54311, Reception 2-4pm, Service 4-5pm
