Harriet Overby

Harriet L. Overby of Sister Bay, Wisconsin died peacefully July 20 at Cardinal Ridge Residential Care, Green Bay at the age of 98. She was born in Chicago on March 16, 1926, and her family moved to Sister Bay to take care of the family farm. She lived in Sister Bay most of her life, continuing her family farm after her parent's death. She never married or had children but stories abound of her fun times with her nieces and nephews and their children. She loved being around kids. She had some crafty skills, leather tooling and wreaths that she gave to family and friends. 

She is survived by her brother, Donald (Diane) Overby, Sister Bay along with several nieces and nephews and their children; family friend, Yvette Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sister and five brothers. 

Per her request, there will be no service. We will have a celebration of life in the future. 

The family would like to thank the staff at Cardinal Ridge for their care the past 2 years and Unity Hospice. The family would like to thank Yvette and Brenda along with their husbands for helping with Harriet when they couldn't be there. The family would also like to thank her friends and family for writing her, she loved her letters and cards. Also, Tom Caldecott for helping with the house and yard and whatever else we or she needed.
