Helen Brotski, 92, Green Bay, died peacefully on July 21, 2017, surrounded by her family. Born on August 18, 1924, in Green Bay, she is the daughter of the late Martin and Elizabeth (Jacobs) Nooyen. Following Elizabeth's Passing, Helen was raised by her father and loving stepmother, Lena Nooyen. On April 5, 1947, she married Henry Brotski in Green Bay, he preceded her in death on March 9, 1993. Helen worked at Kraft Cheese, where she met her husband, and later owned and operated Hank and Helen's Tap in Green Bay. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, socializing with her wonderful neighbors, and playing cards with her family. Helen was a member of Annunciation Church.
Helen is survived by four sons, Clayton (Patricia), Denny, Dale (Shelie), and Deral, all of Green Bay; one daughter Barb McFarlane. Grandchildren, Jason, Jamie, Jodi, Adam, Nicholas, Kevin, Becky, Troy, Tiffany, Jay, Rick, Sue, Randy, and Robby. Many great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; two sisters, Jean Tremel, and Joyce Daanen; one sister-in-law, Caroline Nooyen; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Henry; one son, Kenneth ; one Infant Daughter; two brothers Gordon and Roger; one sister Irene and many other family members.
She was laid to rest at Fort Howard Memorial Park where private services were held. A memorial Mass will be held at Annunciation Church, 401 Gray St. in Green Bay on August 18th at 10:00am.
