Imogene "Imie" Christianson

April 20, 1925 — February 21, 2018

Imogene “Imie” Christianson, 92, of Green Bay died peacefully Wednesday, February 21, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at her home, Age Well Assisted Living. She was born April 20, 1925 in Madill, OK to the late Claude D. Robbins and Eithel (Matney) Robbins. Imie graduated in 1943 from Parsons High School in Parsons, Kansas. Imie met the love of her life, Bill Christianson in 1942 on an MK&T train ride while Bill was serving in the Army Air Corps. They were married April 24, 1943 and celebrated 74 beautiful years together.

Imogene will be greatly missed by her children; Cheryll (Mike) Johnson of Sturgeon Bay, Jan William (Linda) Christianson of Sturgeon Bay, and Lori (Mark) Allen of Sturgeon Bay; grandchildren Lisa (Craig) Martin of Seymour, Amy (Chris) Pounds of Lindenhurst, IL, Sam Christianson (special friend Kristen) of Des Moines, IA, Casey Christianson of Superior, Emily Allen (special friend Garrett) of Eagan, MN and Karlee Allen of Sturgeon Bay; great-grandchildren Malena and Claire Martin, Evan and Molly Pounds; sister, Lenora (Corky) Vertz of Albuquerque, NM; in-laws Merle (Clarice) Christianson, Millard Christianson and June (Christianson) Ehrbar and many nieces and nephews.

Imogene was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; her parents, Claude D. Robbins and Ethel (Matney) Robbins; infant son, Dennis; four sisters, one brother and in-laws.

A memorial/graveside service will take place in the spring at Mount Olive Cemetery in Sturgeon Bay.

The family would like to express a sincere appreciation to Maria, Colleen, and Shannon of Pathway to Living Support Center of Chicago; the loving care, support and compassion provided by the entire staff at Age Well Assisted Living, especially the C team, Carrie and Cathy; Unity Hospice, especially the M team, Mel and Mollie.
