Jake Sawyer

Gerald (Jake) Patrick Sawyer, 62, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 22, 2023. After a long battle with Dementia. Jake was employed by the Oneida Casino as a Security Officer for 26 years. This is where he met his wife Michelle (Honey) Trepania. Jake was a huge fan of the Green Bay Packers, New York Yankees, and Miami Hurricanes. He enjoyed going for long walks with his dogs and sitting around the bonfire while listening to music. He found joy in riding to different destinations on his Harley.

Jake is survived by his wife Michelle (Honey) Sawyer, Elijah (Alebra) Metoxen, Mercy (Levi King) Metoxen, Schuyler (John John) Metoxen, His grandchildren Brennan, Elijah Jr., Jossalyn (Kah^tawakhu), Loh^tiyo, Lawisanawase, Ezias Chance, Jashon, Orie, Wayne, Mina, Lucy, Luna, Osiris, Jionni, Nalia, Malia, and 5 great-grandchildren. His brothers Tom and Jimmy John. Jake is preceded in death by his parents Tom and Barbara, and his sister Mary.

Friends may come to celebrate his life on Wednesday, March 1^st. Vet’s Hall in Oneida from 5 to 8 pm. 2980 E Service Road Oneida, Wisconsin. Special thanks to the entire staff at Eden’s East Nursing Home Memory Care Unit and the Promedica Hospice staff.
