James Greene

April 20, 1957 — September 3, 2015

James “Jim” Greene, 58, Green Bay passed away September 3, 2015, after a brief but hard fought illness. Born on April 20, 1957, in Green Bay, he is the son of late Robert and Ramona (McDonough) Greene. Jim graduated from West High School the class of ’75. He married the former Mary Lewis December 4, 1976, in Green Bay. Jim worked for thirty-nine years at Meat Processors Inc. He had an immense love for sports especially his Green Bay Packers. Jim’s favorite past time was playing cribbage. He was very proud of his children and was a loving father, brother, and devoted husband.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; three children, Matthew and girlfriend Megan Klug, Robbie, and Kaitlin “Punkin”; three sisters, Sharen (Lee) Roeser, Lynn(Wayne) Evrard, and Connie (Greg) Persen; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John (Sandy) Withbroe, Don (Denny) Lewis, Peggy Stofferan, Nancy (Mike) Diring, and Ruth Withbroe; many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends .

Preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mary and Edward Lewis; and brother-in-law, Frank Stoefferan.

Visitation at the Green Bay Botanical Gardens, 2600 Larsen Rd, Tuesday September 8, from 4 PM until the time of the service at 6 PM.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Bellin Cancer Team as well as Bellin Hospital, especially Dr. Lynch, Dr. James, and his favorite nurse, Hannah. Also a special thank you to the Rev. Jack Harper, Nativity Church, and the Knights of Columbus.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established at the funeral home.
