James Edward Lott passed into eternal life on September 18, 2017. He was born in El Paso, Texas to Lydia and Luther Lott on December 17, 1949. His early childhood was spent in El Paso until his family relocated in Minden, Louisiana in 1962. Some of his fondest memories were from the time he lived there where the family spent many happy hours fishing and swimming in the bayous, a truly idyllic time for a young boy. His family then moved to Abilene, Texas for a few years before finally settling in the San Francisco Bay Area. This is the place he loved the most. It was the 60’s era which he embraced until his final days.
Jim served his country in the Air Force during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Thailand. After his return he attended the American River College and then worked in petroleum exploration in California before moving to Green Bay.
He is survived by his wife Donna, sons Brian and Nicolas from California, sisters Diane Kohl and Linda Poikonen of Green Bay and his brother William Lott of California. Jim was loved by everyone who knew him. He will be missed.
