Jana Moore was born in Garden City Kansas to Lewis and Wilma Slawson. Raised primarily in Amarillo Texas she graduated from Amarillo High School. She would immediately start working for Sante Fe Railroad. Moving to Ft.Worth Texas this is where she would meet and marry her husband of 50 years Charles Wayne Moore. After a few years the couple would relocate back to Amarillo. She would work a few secretary jobs before deciding to become a full time stay at home mother not only to her own son, but for an eight year period 60 foster children as well. After those eight years she would return to being the secretary for the uniform division of the Amarillo Police Department for 20 years. Retirement would find her moving to Green Bay Wisconsin to be closer to some of her grandchildren.
Jana is preceded in death by her parents Lewis and Wilma Slawson, her husband C.W. Moore, and step daughter Sheri Burns. She is survived by Son Daryl Moore of Green Bay, step son and daughter-in-law Steve and Kris Moore of Oklahoma, step son and daughter-in-law Scott and Cherri Moore of Oklahoma, 10 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. As well as too many friends and extended family members to mention. To know Jana Moore was to be loved by Jana Moore her legacy is one of love for all.
Celebration of life will be held July 15, 2023 at 2:00 PM at New Freedom Church 1255 Russett Court Green Bay Wisconsin, 54313.The family asks that instead of flowers donations to New Freedom Church Building Fund would be appreciated.
