Jay Behnke

Jay Brian Behnke passed away peacefully in his sleep at home early morning on January 17, 2024 at the age of 79.

Jay spent 8 years in the US Airforce where he received his college degree in communications and did a tour during the Vietnam War.  After his honorable discharge, he and his wife raised their children between the Oconto and later Appleton areas.  He spent his 35 year career working for AT&T.

He loved gardening, but mostly spending time with his family.  He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 56 years Linda (Daul), son Brian (partner Trang), daughter Annette (husband Kevin), granddaughter Lily and countless friends and family members.

At Jay’s request, there will be no public funeral service.  The family would like to sincerely thank the wonderful staff at St. Vincent’s hospital, the VA and Heartland Hospice.
