Jean A. Challands, 75, Green Bay, died unexpectedly at a local nursing home on April 13, 2016. Born on September 19, 1940, in Providence, RI, she is the daughter of the late Joseph and Alice (Pomfret) Perry. On January 12, 1974, she married Albert Challands in Warwick, RI. Jean loved to play cards with her buddies at the nursing home, and she enjoyed watching her favorite Boston Red Sox on television.
Jean is survived by her loving husband, Al, Green Bay; two children, Cindy (John) Viveiros, Green Bay, Candace (Bill) Murphy, Lincoln, RI; five grandchildren, Kevin, Donielle, Katie, Raymond, and Makenna; three great grandchildren, Brayden, Kailee, and Eli; and one sister, Elizabeth (James) Hoopingarner, Indianapolis, IN; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Margaret Micke.
Memorial service 4:00 p.m. Saturday at Green Bay Community Church, 600 Cardinal Ln, with Pastor Kim Sechler officiating.
