Jerome (Jerry) Engebos, 78, a resident of Crivitz, Wisc. passed away on Monday, July 13, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Jerome was born Sept. 9, 1936, in Green Bay, Wisc. to Emil and Matilda (Christens) Engebos.. He met his wife Marilyn (Toots) Beth when he was 15. On July 9, 1955 they got married. The couple celebrated 60 years of marriage this past weekend. Jerome worked for Norgas and Hot Flame gas companies in Wisconsin for many years. He then worked for the Wheatland School District in Missouri, where he lived for 12 years and returned to Crivitz, Wisc. in 2014. A faithful Packer fan, Jerome never missed a game on TV, even in his
years in Missouri. He enjoyed attending “Packer Parties” when he returned to Wisconsin.
He will be loved, missed, and remembered by his family. He was especially fond of his 17 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren and could often be found playing and working with
them in his yard. He is survived by his wife; Marilyn (Toots); son Tom Engebos; daughters, Debbie (Dave) Womack-Tomaszewski, Lynne Bywater, Mary (Roger) Knaus, Jeri Engebos and her special
friend Lee Carter; two special daughters Debbie Vandenberg, and Renee Lee; brothers, Richard
(Dick) and Connie Engebos, Larry and Carol Engebos; sister Mary Ann Drew and her special
friend Joe Arndt.
He was preceded in death by his father, Emil Engebos; mother and stepfather, Matilda and Carl Lardinois; motherin- law and father-in-law Cliff and Sally Beth; brothers, Bernard (Bernie), Robert (Bob), James (Jim), and Eugene (Gene). Also his oldest daughter Barb (Rymer).
A private service will be held by the family at a later date.
