Jerry Menard, 54, of St. Nazianz passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at his home surrounded by family. He was born on August 26, 1962 to Jerry and Sylvia (Carstens) Menard in Illinois. After high school, Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Army. He received an honorable discharge in 1985 and worked for many years as a truck driver. Jerry was a loving father, brother, uncle and friend.
Jerry is survived by one daughter, Breanna Menard; three brothers Chris (Jaye) Alford, Bryan(Tracy) Menard, Robert(Barb) Nichols; two sisters, Cheryl and Melissa Menard; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Shawn Marie Lambert; his paternal grandparents, Henry and Jeannie Menard; and his maternal grandparents Harold and Clara Carstens.
Full military honors will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL on Thursday, November 10th at noon.
